Postcards for Democracy at the Democracy Center. The National Center for the Preservation of Democracy plays host to the first LA exhibit of Mark Mothersbaugh and Beatie Wolfe's collective mail art campaign "Postcards for Democracy".

Find us among the thousands of riders at CicLAvia where Mark Mothersbaugh and Beatie Wolfe invite you to take part in the relaunch of their collective art demo from the Postcards for Democracy booth located in the 'Evergreen Hub'. At the booth you will be able to design your postcard from different art supplies to send into the art campaign with a big exhibition of the cards to follow.

At LAPL's Arroyo Seco Regional Branch Library, Postcards for Democracy joins Dan Hu from CalMatters. At the event you'll learn how to effectively use the CalMatters Voter Guide, an invaluable tool to help you navigate your ballot and make informed decisions. Don’t miss this opportunity to get informed, engage in meaningful discussion, and prepare to confidently cast your vote!

Postcards for Democracy joins The Pat Brown Institute’s Fall Civic Series designed to build community, provide civic education, and inspire civic engagement.  We will host a pop-up studio at For "Vote Fest 2024: The Art of Civic Engagement,” where you will be able to design your postcard from different art supplies.

Postcards for Democracy joins Zocalo Public Square's "Will the Real Young Voters Please Stand Up?" live event from ASU California Center Broadway. Join Postcards for Democracy’s pop-up studio at this event to Both before and after the stage discussion from a pop-up Postcards for Democracy studio you will be able to design your postcard from different art supplies to contribute to send into the art campaign.

Postcards for Democracy will be at the Democracy Center as they serve as an official Los Angeles County Vote Center from November 2–5, 2024. The Democracy Center will celebrate the most important civic action you can take—the right to vote. Bring the whole family out for a full day. Our community resource fair will connect you to important services from the county and local organizations. And, of course, you’ll be able to vote on-site. You can cast your vote at the Vote Center or bring your completed mail-in ballot and drop it off. 

Postcards for Democracy joins Corita Art Center on November 23rd at The Philosophical Research Society for a day of family-friendly art making, readings and conversation, performance and film screenings, and a holiday pop-up shop—all in celebration of Corita’s legacy! 

For the first time art highlights from the thousands submitted during 2024 will be exhibited along side new work created at the art stations.
